Short Bio
I’m a biotechnologist originally from Barcelona who somehow ended up studying and working between Barcelona, Copenhagen and Girona, gaining experience in both academia and industry along the way.
I’m fascinated by proteins, enzymes and understanding how things work, especially when I can combine computational ideas with hands-on lab work.
Outside the lab, I’m a very active person. I played basketball for many years and coached for several of them, and I now enjoy climbing, cycling, swimming, martial arts, HYROX-style training, and have been part of a Catalan Castellers group in Denmark.
I’m also a bit of a “culo inquieto” — always looking for something new to learn, try or get my hands on. I’ve always enjoyed taking things apart just to understand how they work, even if putting them back together doesn’t always go quite as planned! That hands-on curiosity is probably why, if I hadn’t become a scientist, I could easily have seen myself as a carpenter, building and fixing things, or perhaps as a physicist or mathematician, trying to understand how everything works.
In the future, I hope to keep combining curiosity, science and a hands-on mindset to work on things that can ultimately make a difference in human health.
