Short Bio
My interest in biology sparked after learning about the origin of penicillin in middle school, which made me yearn to discover a new, life-changing molecule. Choosing biology as a bachelor’s degree made me realize that such potential lies not necessarily in fungi or bacteria, but in the enzymes they hold within. My main goal for and beyond the DN is to become a seasoned protein engineer, able to develop industry-changing catalysts for a better future.I also enjoy hiking in nature, practicing sports, and learning languages. And while I was always interested in science, I also considered becoming a pharmacist or a forensic doctor. While I sometimes wish that science didn’t require so much trial and error, I believe the true scientist is shown by how they handle unexpected results.
