HaloVerse enters the MSCA spotlight with a mission: advancing more sustainable chemistry
HaloVerse (Advancing Europe’s Next Generations on the Path to Sustainability – Expanding the Universe of Enzymatic Halogenation Chemistry) aims to redefine 21st-century chemistry through the development of innovative enzymatic systems for selective halogenation. The project seeks to overcome the current limitations of this reaction by discovering and engineering biocatalysts with broad catalytic scope, high robustness, and the ability to act on a wide variety of substrates.
Biotechnologie für Medikamentenherstellung: EU-Förderung für internationales Doktorandennetzwerk “HaloVerse”
Eine nachhaltige Herstellung von Wirkstoffen ohne gesundheitsschädliche oder erdölbasierte Reagenzien ist das Ziel des Doktorandennetzwerks “HaloVerse”, das die Europäische Union mit rund 3,8 Millionen Euro für fünf Jahre fördert. 13 Promovierende werden in Groningen, Bochum, Kreta, Pavia, Stuttgart, Girona, Mailand, Zürich und Bern daran arbeiten.
